On November 21, 2022, the College of Science invited Director Liu Tangbi of Kailongomics Biotechnology Co., Ltd. to campus to give a lecture on "Bioethics - A Systemic Challenge that Crosses Domains Across the Timeline." Director Liu believes that ethics focuses on attitudes towards others and the rightness or wrongness of behavior, encompassing both individual and societal levels, making it a complex and conflictual issue. Therefore, when facing future bioethical issues, the fundamental attitude should be to understand the diverse and ever-changing nature of the issues. It requires multi-dimensional consideration, dialogue among various fields, mutual respect, a balance between regulation and progress, and safeguarding the fundamental principles.
