The application "ISOLATED LIVER CANCER STEM CELL AND METHOD FOR DRUG SCREENING THEREOF" has been approved through the U.S. patent review

The molecular genetics laboratory has isolated a liver cancer stem cell strain named TW-1, which possesses the ability of self-renewal, differentiation, and resistance to sorafenib. By utilizing TW-1 in wild-type rats with intact immune activity, we have established in situ liver cancer and liver cancer metastasis animal models. This model can provide a rapid anti-cancer and tumor metastasis drug screening platform under normal physiological conditions. The technology has passed the United States patent review in June and is currently undergoing the formal patent acquisition process.
